About Us
St.
Vincent de Paul is an independent, faith-based, 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people who
are suffering from the effects of poverty meet their
basic human needs and achieve a better future for themselves
and their family.
Our
15 programs reach 250,000 people each year with services
that include food, clothing, shelter, transitional and
permanent housing, homeless day resources, employment
training, adult education, emergency financial assistance,
Head Start, after-school, summer camp, domestic violence
intervention, and more.
We
are committed to providing our services in a manner
that fosters hope and promotes the dignity and self-worth
of each individual, as we see God’s living presence
in every person.
Catholic
in character, St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore is independently
governed by a lay board of directors and is a separate
organization from the Archdiocese of Baltimore and Catholic
Charities. St. Vincent de Paul is affiliated with the
international Society of St. Vincent de Paul, founded
in 1833 by Frederic Ozanam.
