St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore is a leading provider of community services to people suffering from the effects of hunger, homelessness, and poverty in Baltimore, Maryland. Each year, over 50,000 people are helped through our comprehensive services that have a singular focus: To help build better futures for those struggling in poverty.

Helping people escape poverty requires a broad scope of services that reach people at their level of need. We help individuals and families with basic needs that sustain and stabilize, such as food, clothing, and shelter. We also help people regain their self-sufficiency and achieve better futures through transitional and permanent supportive housing, educational services to children and youth, and occupational skills training and job placement.
Founded in 1865, St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore is one of the oldest charitable organizations in Maryland. We are an independent agency affiliated with the international Society of St. Vincent de Paul, named after the great saint who pioneered many charitable works in the 17th century in France. St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore honors his legacy through our work in the 21st century. We are on the cutting edge of best practices, constantly adapting our services to make a targeted, meaningful impact on the individuals we serve and the broader community.
St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore is affiliated with the National Society of St. Vincent de Paul, and is proud to be recognized by Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations with the Standards for Excellence Seal for maintaining the highest standards of ethics and accountability in non-profit governance, management, and operations.
