Adelante Familia
Adelante Familia is a bilingual program
of St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore that provides culturally
competent domestic violence prevention and crisis intervention
services to Spanish speaking immigrant families.
The goals of Adelante Familia are to eliminate the incidence
of violence, reduce tolerance to violence, promote healthy
families, and prevent another generation of victims
and abusers.
Adelante Familia operates out of three locations: Southeast
Baltimore (main office) Lansdowne and Essex. In addition
to the services Adelante Familia provides, partners
such as the House of Ruth, Baltimore Medical Systems,
the Maryland Committee for Children and Maryland Children's
Health Program offer services out of Adelante Familia's
Southeast Baltimore location.
