Donating your vehicle to St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore
can help fuel our mission, while providing you with
a possible tax deduction and the good feeling you get
when you help those in need. The process is easy. Call

arrange free pick up and towing.
What you need to know about donating your vehicle.
The program accepts passenger cars, SUVs, trucks, vans,
, motorcycles, boats with trailers, and some RV’s.
The vehicle must be in saleable condition. Vehicles
over 12 years old will be accepted if they are running.
We do not accept non-running vehicles.
You must have your vehicle’s certificate of ownership
(the Title). You must execute the Title on the back
upper top portion and designate St. Vincent de Paul
as the assignee. The car must be free of any liens before
we can proceed to sale.
Be sure to remove all personal items from the vehicle.
You must return the tags to MVA on/or before the date
you cancel your insurance. Failure to do so will result
in an Uninsured Motorist penalty. Remove the tags immediately
prior to the vehicle being picked up by St. Vincent
de Paul of Baltimore. St. Vincent de Paul will not accept
any responsibility for the vehicle until it is towed
and in our possession or in the possession of our agents.
St.
Vincent de Paul cannot guarantee a selling price for
your vehicle. It may take up to 30 days to sell your
vehicle at auction. When the vehicle is sold, you will
receive an acknowledgement of the amount of the sale.
Donors may deduct up to $500 for a donated vehicle.
Please note that you are limited to the actual selling
price at auction as a tax deduction for vehicles valued
at over $500. St. Vincent de Paul will send written
acknowledgement of the gross sale amount of your donated
vehicle within 30 days of the sale. You will be asked
to furnish your social security number so that we may
maintain a record of the donation and the sale price
at auction.
