Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement daily lesson plans.
• Manage class of 15-20 children ranging in ages of three to five years old.
• Perform large, small and one on one lessons to preschool children.
• Conduct student observations and make any necessary referrals.
• Take lead of classroom and provide Teacher Assistant the opportunity to assist and develop skills where needed.
• Implement Creative Curriculum and Second Step.
• Conduct a minimum of two home visits per program year.
• Uphold the standards of St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore
• Welcome volunteers to the classroom and provide positive experiences.
• Assist in engaging family members to participate in classroom activities.
Qualifications:
• AA/ECE or equivalent number of credits towards an ECE in a 4 year college or;
• AA/ECE + 30 additional college credits towards BA/ECE or equivalent number of credits towards BA/ECE in a 4 year college or;
• BA in Elementary Ed or related field, must pursue ECE Certification or;
• BA in related field/and minimum of 15 credits towards ECE-(BA/MA/Certification) or;
• BA in ECE, BA in related field with current State Certification in Early Childhood Education or; MA in ECE.

Assistant Teacher -

Learn to Earn at St. Ambrose
Director I -
Responsible for management and supervision of the day to day program operations including staff and volunteer supervision, program compliance and outcome achievement, program planning and development support. Also responsible to assist with the supervision and operation of St. Ambrose Center site including and the overall activities of the physical plant.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree with five years experience in workforce development. Additional years of experience may be substituted for education. Three years of supervisory experience with experience in program planning and development and supervision; minimum of three years successful experience in working directly with persons who are materially poor and/or homeless; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; working knowledge of computers.

Johns Hopkins Hospital, in partnership with the St. Ambrose Center, has an excellent career opportunity available for experienced CNAs with a minimum of one year of current experience in a Nursing Home or Rehab facility. A 10-week training will take place at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Upon successful completion of all requirements, candidates will be eligible to interview to be hired into current open Clinical Associate positions at The Johns Hopkins Hospital at a salary of $12.35 per hour. Candidates must possess a Clean Criminal Background and the ability to pass Random Drug Screenings.

Youth Place at St. Ambrose
Team Leader -
Assists with the development and implementation of programs for youth that reflect the spirit of St. Ambrose Center’s mission and vision. Represents the mission, policies and interests of SAC while developing and maintaining positive working relationships with youth, program partners, and the community. Assists with and attends special events held by St. Ambrose Center and the St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore
Qualifications:
Three years hands-on experience with Youth, in particular with at risk populations. Facilitation and training experience (at least two years). Cultural understanding, including the ability to relate in a courteous, comfortable, non-judgmental manner with persons of all socio-economic and religious backgrounds. Work a flexible schedule, including weekends. Maryland Drivers License
Position Details:
This is a part -time position without benefits. The position requires a 4hour day / 5 days a week with scheduled Saturday trips. Staff reports to work at 2pm to prepare for group and the day ends 6pm. Hourly wage is dictated by grant funding. This position does not include paid holidays, annual, sick and personal leave. Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license to operate a 14 passenger bus.
