Head
Start is a comprehensive program for preschool children
that works in partnership with parents, extended family,
and members of the community to offer developmentally
appropriate educational, health, and social services
to children and their families. The goal is to prepare
the children for kindergarten.
The Head Start program serves over 500 three and four-year-old
children and their families at three locations in Northwest
Baltimore, and two locations in Southeast Baltimore.
