to Earn at St. Ambrose
Learn
to Earn is a comprehensive workforce development program
that helps both unemployed and underemployed individuals
find and retain jobs. Over 300 people a year are assisted
in attaining employment through the Learn to Earn program.
Career options are improved through skills assessment,
adult education services, job skills training, and career
planning. Other services include: job readiness, life
skills classes, employment retention services, mentoring
and peer support. The program emphasizes technology
and the use of computers.
Learn to Earn education services focus on helping adults
gain the necessary skills to meet their individual goals
and enhance their employment potential. The program
has three levels: Adult Basic Education, Pre-GED, and
GED preparation.
Lean to Earn is based at the St. Ambrose Center in the
Southern Park Heights community in Baltimore City. Founded
in 1972, St. Ambrose Center works with the community
to improve the lives of low-income individuals, families,
and children. Each year, the Center reaches more than
40,000 persons with its broad scope of services.
