"Prescription for Success" Healthcare Careers - CNA/GNA, Medical Terminology

CNA/GNA Licensing Program

Classes are provided on site by In-House Nursing Instructors. Graduates will obtain their CNA/GNA License from the Maryland Board of Nursing.

Classroom Instruction

Clinical Rounds
Monday – Friday (7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.)
Fee: $700.00
Due no later than September 28, 2012

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 8th Grade Reading and Math
  • Clean Criminal Background
  • Current Health Insurance Coverage

Medical Terminology Course
This class is provided through a partnership with Life Bridge     Health System, a program of Northwest Hospitals. This five week course is an introduction to basic medical terminology.
September 21, 2012 – October 19, 2012
Friday Afternoons (12p.m. – 4 p.m.)
Fee: $40.00 Due no later than September 20, 2012

Learn to Earn Orientation & Testing Sessions are Mondays, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
The testing session prepares students by finding what careers interest them and for what courses they qualify. All students must bring a #2 pencil with them for testing and are required to provide two forms of identification proving they are eligible to work in the United States.
