Volunteer
opportunities are available at Frederick Ozanam House.
Opportunities include:
Front
Room Assistant:
The Front Room Assistant sorts and distributes client
mail, makes and distributes client hygiene bags, and
assists the receptionist.

Volunteers needed Monday though Friday from 12:00
– 3:00 pm.
- Volunteers
must be 16 years of age or older.

Weekly or bi-monthly commitment required.
Meal
Program Volunteers:
Meal Program volunteers help prepare and serve a hot
meal for approximately 300 low-income and homeless guests.

Volunteers needed on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays,
Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm (must
be able to serve entire shift).

One-time volunteer opportunities available.

Groups of up to 7 people accepted.

Volunteers must be at least 13 years of age. Volunteers
ages 13-15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Additional meal program volunteers are always needed
during the summer and the holidays.
Computer
Lab Attendant:
Computer Lab attendants assist clients with basic computer
skills while they access the computer lab.
- Volunteers
are needed for two-hour shifts in the afternoons (hours
flexible).
- Weekly
or bi-monthly commitment required.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and be
proficient with computers.
Health
Suite Volunteers:
Health care professionals provide assessment, screening,
first aid and referral services to adult homeless persons.

We need nurses, PAs, nurse practitioners and physicians.

Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday from 10
am until 1 pm.

Weekly or bi-monthly commitment required.

Health care professionals must have their own malpractice
insurance.
Christmas
Activities:
Volunteers help our clients celebrate the holidays with
activities, gifts and food.

Volunteers are needed between Thanksgiving and Christmas
to engage in holiday activities with our clients on
Tuesday afternoons.

Volunteers are needed to help serve in our meal program
on Christmas Day and the week between Christmas and
New Year’s Day.

One-time volunteer opportunities available.
