Adopt a Head Start Classroom
Thank you for your interest in our Adopt a Classroom program! Your group, church, business, or school can help support preschool-age children by providing much-needed classroom supplies. Head Start provides quality, comprehensive services to hundreds of income-eligible preschool children to enhance their readiness for school, improve family involvement in education, and support family self-sufficiency.
What is Adopt a Classroom?
Support our Head Start programs at Patterson Park, Our Lady of Fatima, Somerset, Pimlico, Arlington, and the Arts Center by purchasing items from our Amazon Wish List. These items will be used throughout the year to make sure the children we serve are given the highest level of education.
When will I be contacted?
Our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you within 2 business days of submitting your interest form. We will contact you via email to provide the “wish list” items to purchase for your adopted classroom or children.
What should I buy?
Please use our Amazon List to see what items are needed. If you do not purchase from Amazon, please note that ALL items should be new.
Is there anything I should not buy?
Please refrain from purchasing toys or video games with violent content (including toy guns, swords, etc.).
Where and when do I deliver my donation?
Please schedule your delivery between January 10 and Aug 30 to our Patterson Park location at 242 S. Patterson Park Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21231 https://goo.gl/maps/MRzJTLpKegB3CWAy7
How do I label the items?
Please bag all items and mark each bag with “Adopt a Classroom” clearly visible on it. We will divide the donations to make sure each site gets the items it needs.
Is there anything else I/we should know?
Yes – thank you for participating in the Adopt a Classroom program! We greatly appreciate your generous support! St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore is a non-profit organization. A tax receipt will be provided when you deliver your donation.
What if I have other questions?
