Adopt a Head Start Classroom

Help support preschool age children attending Head Start and Early Head Start by adopting a classroom.  Your group, church, business or school can provide much needed classroom supplies.

ADOPT A CLASSROOM

Thank you for your interest in participating in our Adopt a Classroom program! We provide comprehensive school readiness services to hundreds of
3, 4, and 5-year-olds across Baltimore City.

What is Adopt a Classroom?
Support our Head Start programs in Patterson Park, Our Lady of Fatima, North Caroline I and II, Pimlico and the Arts Center by purchasing items from our Amazon List. These items will be used throughout the year to make sure the children we serve are given the highest level of education.

When will I be contacted?
Our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you within 2 business days of submitting your interest form. We will contact you via email to provide the “wish list” items to purchase for your adopted classroom or children.

What should I buy?
Please use our Amazon List to see what items are needed. If you do not purchase from Amazon, please note that ALL items should be new.

Is there anything I should not buy?
Please refrain from purchasing toys or video games with violent content (including toy guns, swords, etc.).

Where and when do I deliver my donation?
Please plan to schedule and deliver your donation on November 6 to ensure proper handling and receipt. Please deliver to our Patterson Park location (Please insert google map address 242 S. Patterson Park Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21231).

How do I label the items?
Please bag all items and mark each bag a label reading “Adopt a Classroom”. We will divide the donations to make sure each site gets the items it needs.

Is there anything else I/we should know?
Yes – thank you for participating in the Adopt a Classroom program! We greatly appreciate your generous support! St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore is a non-profit organization. A tax receipt will be provided when you deliver your donation.

What if I have other questions?
If you have any questions, please contact our Head Start Volunteer Coordinator,
