Getting a Head Start for Life-Long Success

Our Head Start and Early Head Start programs provide early childhood education services to prepare infants, toddlers, and pre-school children for school, while also helping parents achieve their financial, housing, and health stability goals.

St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore operates six fully credentialed Head Start sites and four licensed Early Head Start sites in Baltimore City. Classes are full-day and include free breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks.

Head Start services are associated with positive, long-term outcomes for low-income children including higher cognitive test scores, higher rates of high school and college graduation, higher employment rates, higher earnings, and better overall health outcomes.
