Starting Saturday, November 1, food aid benefits will be paused, leaving millions of individuals and families across the country without the assistance they need to put food on the table. This pause will create a state of emergency for those already living on the edge of food insecurity — and we’re already seeing the impact here in our programs. St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore is committed to doing everything we can to ensure that no one goes hungry — but we can’t meet this growing need alone.

Drop off food donations

Non-perishable food items can be delivered directly to:

  1. Beans and Bread Resource Center, located at 400 S. Bond St. Baltimore, MD 21231
    Donations can be dropped off Mon-Fri, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  2. SVDP Eastside Shelter, located at 9150 Franklin Square Dr. Rosedale, MD 21237
    Donations can be dropped off 7 days a week, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Here is the list of needs:

  • Paper Goods:
    • Paper/plastic market bags
    • Plates
    • Cold and hot cups
    • Plastic utensils
    • Foil
  • Hygiene Kit Materials
    • Travel size – toothpaste, soap, deodorant, toothbrush, lotions, shaving cream, sanitary pads, razors, washrags (NO mouthwash) and handwarmers.
  • Food –
    • Any shelf stable – canned fruit, vegetables and meat ( tuna, salmon, chicken, spam, sardines), soups
    • Tomato sauce
    • Any type of noodles, plain and flavored like Hamburger helper
    • Rice – plain and flavored like Rice a Roni and Uncle Bens
    • Cereal
    • Instant Mashed potatoes
    • Pancake mix
    • Syrup
    • Peanut butter and jelly
    • Cup of noodles/oodles of noodles
    • Shelf stable milk
    • Bread
    • Dessert items
    • Frozen or refrigerated food – cheese, butter, milk, yogurt, luncheon meat, ground turkey or beef
  • Clothing – gloves, blankets, sleeping bags and hats
