Volunteer for an Event

Equinox is an indoor/outdoor harbor front event at the Baltimore Museum of Industry on September 19, 2020 to raise funds and awareness to end homelessness in the Baltimore area.

This unique event will feature a Chesapeake-inspired menu, beer, wine, and free parking with ticket.  Enjoy live music from Reverend Smackmaster and the Congregation of Funk and a silent auction, surrounded by a spectacular light installation and stunning waterfront views.

Want to get more involved with the Equinox event?  There are two ways:

1. Join an Equinox Event Committee

We have three wonderful committees that are working tirelessly to make this event a night to remember. If your skills and passions match any of the descriptions below, please consider joining some amazing individuals in raising funds and awareness for St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore.

Sponsorship Committee – Ensure this event makes a difference by securing meetings with key decision makers in organizations in and around Baltimore.

Donation Committee – Help guarantee the maximum amount of dollars go to those we serve by securing exceptional contributions that will contribute to a successful event.

Auction Committee – Secure unique items, trips and experiences to be auctioned off in support of our housing programs.

2. Become an Equinox Event Ambassador

Want to up your social media game and help make a difference in the lives of Baltimore’s most vulnerable? Become an Equinox Ambassador! Our marketing team will provide you with templates and language you can use in communicating to your wonderful followers and make a difference. Event Ambassadors will have their names listed at the event and can be highlighted on resumes.

Empty Bowls is an annual event to raise critical funds for services that ensure those impacted by poverty have the skills and resources to achieve their full potential.  This fun family-friendly event features savory soups and food from local restaurants, auction items, entertainment and activities for the whole family.

Volunteers are the reason that Empty Bowls is so successful year after year. Because of your hard work, we are able to raise important funds and awareness for those in need in the Baltimore area.

There are currently two fantastic opportunities to help with our 15th annual Empty Bowls!

  1. Empty Bowls Setup
    Date: Friday, March 19, 2021
    Time: 1-5pm
    Location: Maryland State Fairgrounds
    Tasks: Set up auction, tables and bowl section for Empty Bowl Event

 

2. Empty Bowls Serving
Date: Saturday, March 20, 2021
Time: 11am-5pm
Location: Maryland State Fairgrounds
Tasks: Greet guests as they arrive, Registration, Set up and Distribute Bowls, Serve Soup, Bus Tables.
