About Our Early Childhood Education Programs

Our Head Start and Early Head Start programs provide early childhood education services to prepare infants, toddlers, and preschool children for school, while also helping parents achieve financial, housing and health stability goals that benefit their families and the entire community.

St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore operates six fully credentialed Head Start sites and four licensed Early Head Start sites in Baltimore City. Classes are full-day and include free breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks. Acceptance is based on meeting eligibility requirements and available space in classes.

Head Start services are associated with positive, long-term outcomes for low-income children including higher cognitive test scores, higher rates of high school and college graduation, higher employment rates, higher earnings, and better overall health outcomes.

APPLY NOW FOR THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR

We accept new students throughout the school year. Acceptance is based on meeting eligibility requirements and on available space in classes. Parents must live in Baltimore City and their child must be 6 weeks to 4 years old. Registration is now open for the 2023 – 2024 school year.

Early Head Start:  Children ages 6 weeks – 2 years old
Head Start Program: Children ages 3-4 years old
